As expected, due to COVID 19, many weddings are being cancelled over the next couple of months while we lock down. It’s a necessary action if we are to beat this pandemic. What does it mean for you if you had planned to be married soon?

Your booking, what happens?

I can share my experience to date. I had four weddings booked for March, April and May which have understandably been cancelled by venues. What my clients have done is to postpone their wedding and reschedule for later this year or at a date next year in 2021.

Those that are currently booked from late May onwards of this year are basically sitting tight and waiting to see what happens. I haven’t had any cancellations over the summer yet. It will be what it will be.

For those of you who are booked with me, your date is safe. Should you need to reschedule, you will have priority.

We’ll get there!

As much as I love filming weddings, I totally understand the need for a lock down. We have to beat this virus and that is the only way we can do so until a vaccine is found.

I have noticed promising reports from Australia that they have pretty much found a ‘cure’ for the COVID 19 virus. They have managed to destroy the corona virus in test tubes every time using a combination of an HIV and malaria drug at the University of Queensland. Hopefully, this will lead to a vaccine in a short while and we can then all get on with our lives.

Thank you and keep safe.

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely wish all past, present and future couples I have had the pleasure to film, a healthy lock down period. Stay safe!

Like most, I am following the law and keeping my head down.
