Caz and Bobby were recently married at the Bull’s Head Hotel in Chislehurst, Kent. It was a perfect June day.
We had travelled up from Broadstairs and as always, we expected to arrive two hours early. This allows any traffic problems and has never been an issue. We arrived early and set up the cameras and also tested the light and acoustics to ensure we had the best camera environment.
This was a new venue for me. Chislehurst is fairly close to London and about as near as I ever plan to be. London is not a city that I film weddings in because of the logistics involved. Parking is always a nightmare and expensive so I keep well away.
The staff at the Bull’s Head were lovely. They were busy but still looked after us despite the guests arriving. It wasn’t a big wedding, only 55 guests, and that’s always a good number for me. It allows me to ensure I get shots of everyone for the couple.
Bobby was the groom on the day, a lovely guy, who played for the camera and gave me plenty to work with. Caz was upstairs getting ready when we arrived and that allowed me to get some prep shots with her bridesmaids.
I had the pleasure to work with Camilla Harney who I’d worked with twice before. She is one of those photographers who is completely in tune with the videography and we work so well together.
Caz and Bobby had a wonderful wedding and it was my privilege to film their big day for them.
