Lauren and Josh were recently married at the Tudor Park Marriott Hotel near Maidstone in Kent.
Cass from Cassandra Wright Photography was the photographer for the day. Cass is from New South Wales, Australia like myself. We hadn’t met before but having two Aussies recording the big day for the happy couple ensured there would be lots of good moments. Cass was fantastic and we both performed our jobs to the letter! It’s extremely rare I get to meet another Aussie professional here in England but the day was delightful.
Lauren and Josh were both perfect for an upbeat day with lots of laughter and emotion which always makes a great scenario for me and my cameras. That’s what I look for on any wedding day. It goes a very long way to making the perfect video.
When the guests are happy to play to the camera, everything is a lot easier. It means I’m not invading people’s space. That is something I’d never do. I treat each wedding as my first no matter how many I’ve filmed over the years.
Light
The ceremony took place outside in a gazebo. A gazebo is always a test of a videographer’s skills because the couple will usually be in shadow while the guests are in blazing sunshine. I will find a happy medium for my cameras knowing that I can alter the light levels to an extent in the edit at a later date.
Weddings don’t get much better than this. Lauren and Josh had a perfect day. I thoroughly enjoyed it all.
